Do you offer a meet & greet before we start?
Yes, and it’s free. We visit your home to meet you and your dog, talk through routines and any quirks, and answer your questions. From there, every dog starts with a one-on-one trial walk before joining a pack hike, so we can see how they do on a loose leash first.
How do you decide which dogs go in a pack together?
We match dogs by size, energy level, and temperament, and only after they’ve shown they’re comfortable on a loose leash one-on-one. If a dog does better solo — whether that’s a puppy still learning, a senior, or a dog who’s reactive around others — we’re happy to keep them on one-on-one walks instead of a pack.
What areas do you service?
We currently walk dogs throughout Barrie, Ontario. We’re keeping an eye on demand in surrounding areas, so if you’re just outside Barrie, reach out anyway — it helps us decide where to expand next.
How much does dog walking cost?
Walks start at $25. The exact rate depends on pack size, walk length, and how often you book. See our Services page for details, or contact us for a full rate sheet.
What happens in bad weather?
Rain, shine, or a light Barrie snowfall, your dog still gets their walk — that’s part of what “adventure” walking means to us. In severe weather (extreme cold, ice storms, or anything that puts dogs or walkers at real risk), we’ll reach out ahead of time to reschedule rather than skip the visit altogether.
Are your walkers insured and trained?
Yes. Every Wagmore walker is trained and fully insured, so you can relax while your dog is with us.
Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccinations?
Yes — for the safety of your dog and every dog in a pack, we ask that vaccinations and flea/tick prevention are current. We’ll go over the specifics with you at your free meet & greet.
Do I need to provide a leash or harness?
If your dog has a leash and harness they’re already comfortable in, that’s usually best — just let us know at the meet & greet. If not, we can talk through options that work well for pack hikes.
Can I book one-off walks, or only recurring ones?
Both. Some dogs are on a regular weekly schedule, others join in occasionally — whatever fits your routine. We’ll work it out with you after the meet & greet.
How will I know how the walk went?
You’ll hear from us after every walk, usually with a few photos, so you always know your dog had a great time.
